A New Adventure

Greetings friends,

Today I invest my first few moments in a blog post ... yes that's right!  Between the moments of weeding, running from wasps and feeding dogs.  As my blog has sat idle with the busyness of work life it seemed a renewal was in order. A retirement renewal is the term I will use. Allow me a moment to explain. A renewed sense of self, a renewed sense of becoming a busy little home keeper, cook, bible study guru and oil sharer with the eager and wise! This just makes me smile!!

Well ... I'm not really retirement age, I've simply decided to change careers and moved from the hustle and bustle of managing a busy office to working in a place of serene quiet ... until the postman shows up and the dogs go nuts.  Then things "get real" around here. No this retirement renewal is simply a retirement from one place to a renewal in another place. This special adventure leaves time for the home escape and work-at-home life many folks dream of in their future, including me. I'm loving my homebiz of helping others and I cannot wait until my next opportunity arises. Let me tell you of a recent meeting to illustrate my point.

Yesterday I had coffee with a grandma helping raise her grand daughter. Grandma and mom both attend college. The four year old granddaughter has several uncontrollable meltdowns a day and generally around dinner and bedtime. We talked about food choices, food coloring, sugar, wheat and other natural options including essential oils. After trying a blend of essential oils, grandma texted me "I'm so amazed with that blend. Just this afternoon we can see a huge difference. She usually has a mini meltdown when dinner is ready. Sat down, ate all her dinner and ran out to play. Today is the first day she has not cried." My heart is full and thankful for this grandma and granddaughter. No one needs a day of battles with children when there are other ways to manage these struggles. This grandma is choosing to get started in essential oils and learn how she can manage more than just temper tantrums!

These are the special connections we make with each other in person or across distance. I can't even say it's all in a day's work because this is the sharing and serving that allows us all to connect. Helping each other is how we serve each other, love one another and unify.  God is good!
